| Thermosetting polymers develop rigid structures during their formation in a process known as curing. Frequently the polymer is formed from two liquids, one a prepolymer that has linear molecules that can be crosslinked, and the other a catalyst that promotes this reaction. Commercial two part epoxies are of this type. The cured material degrades when heated rather than melting as do the thermoplastic polymers. | ||||||
