Every year OA does an annual telethon to alumni leaders and friends where current students and Friends of OA Board members call our alumni. This is a wonderful opportunity for us to connect with OA alums, to tell them what is happening with OA now, and to encourage them to support OA through membership in the Friends of OA. Each year OA raises about $12,000 in annual dues and gifts from this Telethon. This is almost as much as the University contributes to OA's operating budget so it effectively doubles our annual budget. This year is OA's 25th Anniversary year and we are embarking on a major fund raising campaign to raise 2 million dollars in endowment for OA over the next 5 years. We need you help to encourage alumni(ae) support to make this happen!
Calling alumni(ae) leaders is great fun. They are excited to hear about what is happening with OA. In order to call as many of the over 1,300 alums out there we do four nights of calling. This year's Telethon will be Monday, December 6 - Thursday, December 9.
