December 20, 2000: Snapshot

A Quick Study by Daria Karp ’01

On Saturday, November 18, Ellie Kemper ’02 was catching up on her English 331 reading (Our Mutual Friend, by Charles Dickens) before taking the McCarter Theatre stage for the second night of Triangle’s 2000 show, Puns of Steel. St. Louis native Kemper, an English major, member of the student improv group Quipfire, and a former varsity field hockey player, writes and performs for Triangle – just as her mother, Dorothy Jannarone Kemper, did in the early 1970s. Kemper ’72 was one of Triangle’s first female members, performing in 1971’s Cracked Ice and 1972’s Blue Genes.
