A letter from a reader: From the Archives, 1946

July 16, 2008:

Having started in Princeton in September 1945 and graduating in June 1948, I believe I recognized two persons in the June 11 From the Archives photo. The man drinking the beer in the left foreground has to be Connie Hunter '48, the ubiquitous trumpet player around sporting events, etc. The other chap I recognize is Peter Brock '49. He is standing in the upper middle of the photo with a dazed look and his tie pulled down. I recall he lived with us in Holder during my first year 1945-46.

The purpose of the meeting must have been to get "blasted" after a tough week of classes on a Friday night ... who really knows?
