Filtering-

 

Low Pass Filter: Allows low frequencies to appear on the graph while preventing high frequencies from appearing.

Effects of Filtering: The low pass filter simplifies the input by essentially reducing the graph to an outline of its former self.

Effects of Adjusting the Low Cut off Frequency: With a higher low cut off frequency the peaks become more defined. That is, they become steeper and narrower. This allows the transducers to measure increasingly smaller distances.
