Jewish Environmental Ethics
From organic food to climate change, sustainable construction, and environmental justice, this fellowship will grapple with the key environmental issues of today through the lens of Jewish values. We will meet with leaders of the Jewish environmental movement, participate in field trips around the University and local communities, study relevant Jewish texts, and reflect on how to translate what we learn into action.
Facilitated by Rabbi Julie Roth, Executive Director of the Center for Jewish Life and 2008 Greenfaith Fellow.
Meets Tuesdays during the Fall semester, 4:30–6:30 PM, beginning September 24.
Applications are due September 17.
