Screening and discussion of documentary "Haiti — Where Did the Money Go?" will be held

A special screening of the documentary "Haiti — Where Did the Money Go?" will be held at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 22, at the Carl A. Fields Center for Equality and Cultural Understanding at Princeton University. The event, which also will include a Haitian culinary fare and art display, is free and open to the public.

Community2Community (CPCC2C) in partnership with the Fields Center at Princeton will present the documentary written and produced by Michele Mitchell, co-founder, producer and executive editor of Film at Eleven. The documentary is an urgent response to the question of what happened to the billions of charitable dollars collected to provide restorative efforts in earthquake- ravished Haiti. A panel discussion and a Q&A will follow the screening. This event is a collaborative effort to create awareness of organizations at work in Haiti.

Confirmed panelists include: Anne Hoppenot, teacher at Stuart Country Day School and co-founder of KONEKTE; Kenneth W. Culver, Senior Medical Director, Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation & Co-founder of Foundation for Peace; Carine Toussaint, Global Outreach Director for Westerly Road Church; Michele Mitchell, filmmaker; Marie-Yolaine Eusebe, CEO and FireStarter, Community2Community; Purcell Carson, Princeton University faculty, documentary filmmaker and Emmy-nominated film editor; and members of the student body.

The event is co-sponsored by Community2Community and Princeton University’s Carl A. Fields Center for Equality and Cultural Understanding, the Pace Center for Civic Engagement, the Department of Sociology, the Program in Latin American Studies, the Women’s Center and the Community Based Learning Initiative.
