Princeton University has created a website that will serve as a source of information about the University's strategic planning process that President Christopher L. Eisgruber announced earlier this year.
The website, www.princeton.edu/strategicplan, explains the strategic planning effort, identifies the task forces studying a wide range of issues and will serve as a central location for the campus community to access task force reports and other documents.
The site includes an area where students, parents and families, faculty, staff, alumni and friends of the University are invited to submit comments.
The strategic planning process, which began during trustees' meetings in January, is expected to continue through January 2016. The process is designed to identify evolving needs and challenges Princeton faces, and to create a practical and revisable framework for allocating resources and prioritizing initiatives in the future.
Participating in the planning effort are trustees, faculty members, graduate and undergraduate students, staff, alumni, and friends of the University.
"I invite you to browse the information on this website and ask that you return often, as information will be updated as planning proceeds," Eisgruber writes in a letter of welcome posted on the website's homepage.
Eisgruber announced the planning effort at the Feb. 10 meeting of the Council of the Princeton University Community (CPUC). He addressed the CPUC on the process again on Monday, Nov. 10.
