Princeton Area Airports
Princeton can be reached via four international airports. The two closest and most easily accessed are:
- Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR), which is 40 miles north;
- Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), which is 55 miles south.
The two large airports in New York City (east of Manhattan) take substantially more time to reach by car or public transportation from Princeton. They are:

New Jersey Transit trains (800) 772-2222
to Newark Liberty International Airport
N.J. Transit offers a shuttle train, known locally as the "Dinky," between campus (across from McCarter Theatre) and Princeton Junction. At Princeton Junction, you may transfer to N.J. Transit's Northeast Corridor line northbound. Debark the train at Newark Liberty International Airport and transfer to the AirTrain monorail.

to Philadelphia International Airport
Take N.J. Transit train from Princeton (Dinky) Station to Princeton Junction. Transfer to the Northeast Corridor line southbound, which will end in two stops at Trenton station. Transfer to the SEPTA R7 train to Philadelphia 30th Street Station. Take SEPTA R1 train from 30th Street to the airport.
