Ranveig
Jakobsen
|
Name: Ranveig Jakobsen
Position: Administrative assistant in the
Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology and personal
assistant to Steve Pacala. Organizing workshops, events and
traveling schedules for the Carbon Mitigation Initiative,
which addresses the greenhouse problem. Running searches for
faculty and postdoctoral fellowship positions.
Quote: "I dove into a new and exciting project,
working on the Carbon Mitigation Initiative, and I'm liking
it very much. I deal with people outside the University, in
Europe and Alaska. Learning new things is exciting to me.
When Steve Pacala said that the carbon emissions problem
could be fixed in our lifetime, his words helped me decide
that it was something I really wanted to be a part of."
Other interests: Spending time with her husband
and three grown children. Tending her garden, bicycling and
taking long walks on the towpath.
