Elements With General Beam Section Physical Properties

The following elements should be assigned beam section properties defined using the GENERAL property type (see FEMGV Version 2 User Manual for details).

CBAR

For example the following FEMGEN commands

Would produce the following LR.STRAND cards:

When defining general sections if K1 and K2 are omitted by the user the interface will choose defaults of 1.0 for both K1 and K2. Where the user is defining a general section and wishes to specify K1 the user MUST define K2 as well which will default to 0.0 otherwise. The same beam orientation conventions as for section macros above apply.
