Recover

The command RECOVER allows the user to change the processing options of the program. There are 7 subcommands which allow the user to filter his data and results,transform the stress results or change the loadcase increment.
 PAF-FV>R
         ALL
         GEOMERTY
         RESULTS-ONLY
         IGNORE
         TRANSFORM
         LOADCASE-INCREMENT
         SELECT-LOAD
 RECOVER  =>

The option ALL resets the instructions to process the geometry and all of the results. GEOMETRY will cause the interface to process only the topology and the coordinates. If the user wishes to filter the result types to be retrieved, the command IGNORE allows him to select the result types that he does not wish to process. If the relevant files do not exist some results will not be processed anyway, but if at this point the user specifies not to recover temperatures for example, the interface will not even look for the temperature file.

 RECOVER IGNORE  =>TEMP
 RECOVER IGNORE TEMPERATURES

         SHOW
         GO
         QUIT
 PAF-FV>s

 MODEL NAME     : OSHELL
 RECOVER        : ALL
 DESTINATION    : TEXT FILE fred.fvi
 RESULTS        : BEAM-F BEAM-S DISP E-STRA T-STRA STRES
 AXIS SYSTEM    : GLOBAL
 LOAD INC       : 1
 LOAD CASE      : ALL
 ELEMENT GROUPS : OFF

         MODEL
         DESTINATION
         RECOVER
         SHOW
         GO
         QUIT

The command TRANSFORM allows the user to specify the axis system that he wants the stress results to be returned in. The options are:

 1. GLOBAL : Global for both element and nodal stresses
 2. LOCAL : Local for both element and nodal stresses
 3. MIXED : Local for element stresses and global for nodal stresses.

Beam and orthotropic stresses will not be transformed with this command. For each beam, its stresses are returned in its own local axis system, and the stresses for orthotropic elements are returned in the materials' principal axis system.

The option LOADCASE-INCREMENT allows the user to specify the offset for the loadcase names. This is especially relevant when appending to an existing model when one might not want to overwrite existing results.

 PAF-FV>R L
          'INTEGER'
 RECOVER LOADCASE-INCREMENT  =>7
 RECOVER LOADCASE-INCREMENT 7

The option SELECT-LOAD allows the user to recover stress or strain results for one particular loadcase. If this command is not used the program will process all loadcases

 PAF-FV>R S
          'INTEGER'
 RECOVER SELECT-LOAD  =>2
 RECOVER SELECT-LOAD 2
