BEAM Elements With PBEAM Properties

 

The PBEAM property type has up to 46 arguments and can generate NASTRAN PBEAM records with up to 6 cards. It is defined thus:

PROPERTY PHYSICAL PBEAM [propname] n arg1 arg2 ... arg45

The arguments are defined below:

Argument Meaning
n Total number of cards requested (n=1,2,3,4,5,6)
arg1 to arg6 Fields 4 to 9 of Card 1 (A(A), I1(A), I2(A), I12(A), J(A), NSM(A))
arg7 to arg14 Fields 2 to 9 of Card 2 (C1(A), C2(A), D1(A), D2(A), E1(A), E2(A), F1(A), F2(A))
arg15 to arg22 Fields 2 to 9 of Card 5 (K1, K2, S1, S2, NSI(A), NSI(B), CW(A), CW(B))
arg23 to arg30 Fields 2 to 9 of Card 6 (M1(A), M2(A), M1(B), M2(B), N1(A), N2(A), N1(B), N2(B))
arg31 to arg37 Field 2 and fields 4 to 9 of Card 3 (SO, A(B), I1(B), I2(B), I12(B), J(B), NSM(B))
arg38 to arg45 Fields 2 to 9 of Card 4 (C1(B), C2(B), D1(B), D2(B), E1(B), E2(B), F1(B), F2(B))

Note: If the BEAM elements property is defined using the GENERAL property type, up to 21 arguments can be entered as follows:

arg1 to arg5 Fields 4 to 8 of Card 1 (A(A), I1(A), I2(A), I12(A), J(A))
arg6 to arg13 Fields 2 to 9 of Card 2 (C1(A), C2(A), D1(A), D2(A), E1(A), E2(A), F1(A), F2(A))
arg14 to arg21 Fields 2 to 9 of Card 5 (K1, K2, S1, S2, NSI(A), NSI(B), CW(A), CW(B))
