Mission Statement
Graduate Women in Science and Engineering (GWISE) is a community of female graduate students in the School of Engineering and Applied Science at Princeton University and of other people interested in issues of importance to these women. All are welcome.

At GWISE, we

Have formal and informal structures to encourage women from different disciplines to interact on both personal and scientific levels
Discuss career and lifestyle topics relevant to women graduate students
Learn together from outside speakers
Sponsor collaborative efforts with other student organizations
Seek outreach programs to encourage the personal development of younger students and stimulate their interest in science and engineering

The programs we organize include: social events, scientific seminars, invited speakers who share their personal experiences in science and engineering, welcome and graduation receptions, and student travel
grants.

We do not discriminate persons from participation on the basis of race, national origin, religion, color, sex, sexual orientation, or disability.
