One academic year (2001-2002) was also spent at the Institute of Applied Physics, Russian Academy of Science (IAP RAS, Nizhniy Novgorod, Russia), under the supervision of a co-advisor Prof. G. M. Fraiman.

Russian degree Candidate of Physico-mathematical Sciences was also granted in 2004.
