Spring 2012

Attended the 15th Harvard Shoryuhai. Ken Jean-Baptiste, Kai Song-Nichols, Loren Reinoso, Zachary Schiffer, Stacey Huang, and Serena Wong represented Princeton. Congratulations to Ken Jean-Baptiste for advancing to the Semi-Finals of the 1Kyu/ 2Kyu Division!!

Attended the 6th Annual Invitation Goodwill Tournament. Congratulations to Hao Deng for advancing to the Semi-Finals of the 3rd Kyu and Under Division!

Spring 2010

Just got back from the 13th Harvard Shoryuhai, our first time at the tournament. While we didn't progress to the elimination rounds, it was a lot of fun, and it's something we can definitely build on for the future.

Spring 2009

Our tale from the 2nd Annual Delaware Invitational Tournament:

In the 3rd Kyu and below division Individual Tournament:
Teck Hsien Ho won his first round match against Richard Gilbert of Penn State. He then lost in the Quarterfinals against David Haas of Ken Wa Kan.

Thu Ta lost his first round match against Stephen Cheney of Penn State.

Janice Chou progressed to the Quarterfinals when her first and second round opponents forfeited. She lost in the Quarterfinals to Stephen Cheney of Penn State.

Ayse Gursoy won her first round match against Jenny Sturgeon of Ken Wa Kan, Delaware. She lost in the second round to Arras Wiedorn of Baltimore-Annapolis.

In the 1~2 Dan division,
Helen Yu won her first round match with Kelly Nickels of Ken Wa Kan but lost her next against Yoshida Shinsaku of Penn State.

Dong Beom Choi placed third in the division, winning his first match against Justin Lee of Penn State. He also defeated Pai-Hsien Chang of Ken Zen New York in the Quarterfinals before losing to Kim of Ei-Bu-Kan in the Semis.

In the Women's Division,
Ayse Gursoy won her first round match against Yuko Nishida of Ken Wa Kan but lost to Mary Ellen Velahos of Ken Wa Kan in the quarterfinals.

Janice Chou lost her first round match to Mary Ellen Velahos.

Helen Yu made it to the semifinals and consequently won 3rd place in the Women's division. She defeated Heani Kim of Kyu Do Kan, Fort Lee before losing to Kelly Nickels of Ken Wa Kan.

In the Teams competition,
Tthe University team made up of (in order) Helen Yu, Janice Chou, Teck Hsien Ho, Ayse Gursoy and Dong Beom Choi made it to the quarterfinals. We won our first match against Ken Wa Kan 3-1. We lost to Penn State in the quarterfinals 2-3.

In the 3 Dan and above tournament,
Yang-sensei won third place.
