Costs and Financial Aid

Course Fee: $1,500 (includes tuition, visa, and related academic expenses); additional fee: $2,600 (includes all housing and Accra-London airfare). Additional instructional costs (books and materials, required immunizations) will vary, but students should budget up to $600 for these expenses. Roundtrip airfare is estimated at $1,600, meals at $1,300, and personal expenses at $800.

Financial aid will be available from PIIRS. Additional support may also be available from the Office of International Programs (http://www.princeton.edu/oip/home/funding/pufunds/); see in particular the Dean’s Fund for Summer Study Abroad. Please consult directly with the OIP for other funding possibilities and pay close attention to application deadlines.

To ensure a place in the seminar, a $500, nonrefundable deposit will be charged to participants’ accounts during the first week in April; the balance of the course fee will be charged to accounts on April 30.

Generous endowments from Princeton Alumni as well as funds from PIIRS underwrite 41% of the actual cost of the Global Seminar in Ghana/England.
