Fall 2025 Information

If you are registered for the Fall 2025 session of Grad Yoga, please refer to the below message:

Thank you all for registering for the fall 2025 session of Grad Yoga. We are excited to welcome you to our classes this semester! Please see the information below on what to expect when coming to class.

Class times

We have two classes scheduled each week starting Sunday, Sept. 7th and continuing through Wednesday, December 17th. *Wednesday* classes run in the evening from *5:30 to 7:00 pm*, and *Sunday* classes in the morning from *10:00 to 11:30 am*. We ask students to arrive 10-15 minutes early in order to arrange their props before class and help if needed with tidying up the room. Each class begins with a meditation: it is *very *disruptive to enter during meditation, so *please wait outside* until the meditation is finished if you arrive after 5:30/10:00.Note: we will have NO CLASS Sunday, Sept. 14th as our instructor will be attending an Iyengar Yoga workshop that day. All other classes will proceed as usual unless otherwise noted!

Our space

Classes are held in the *New Grad College Common Room*. If you haven't been before, you can see it on Google Maps here: pinning

We share this space with other students, so we have some care-taking responsibilities to manage: each class, during the fifteen minutes before practice begins, we remove furniture from the room and sweep the floors. We ask that if you are able to arrive for the start of class that you assist us in preparing the room for our practice.

We store our props (yoga mats, blankets, blocks, straps, chairs) in the common room. *All props for class are provided*, although our inventory is limited, so you are welcome to bring your own props too. Please budget a few minutes after class to help us put props away. Wear comfortable clothing that is easy to move in, and if possible shows the ankles and knees. For changing, restrooms are available in the building across the way. Don't forget to silence your phones before class, and please leave all belongings in the vestibule or on the couches. The only things by your mat should be your props.

Paying for classes

We charge all students a one-time fee per semester for classes. This helps keep our costs low and classes affordable to all. Please bring your payment to the *first class* you attend. Payment can be made by *cash or check payable to "Princeton University"*. Fees are determined by affiliation: if you are a *current Princeton student, faculty/staff member, or family of one*, then the fee for this semester is *$75*; for everyone else (alumni, community members, etc.), the fee is *$200*. You may attend your *first class free of charge*, but we ask students to *please pay by their second week of classes*. Grad Yoga gratefully acknowledges additional funding from the Graduate Student Government Events Board, Graduate College Housing Committee, and Access, Diversity, and Inclusion at Princeton.
