Material Definition and Assignment

The association of material properties to a part is performed in two stages; the material is defined using the command

PROPERTY MATERIAL GENERAL [matname] 96 reals...

and attached to a geometric part or set of parts via the command

PROPERTY ATTACH partname matname

All elements must have a material property regardless of the destination analysis code.

The material properties are defined by the following list of 96 real numbers which correspond to the PATRAN Neutral file definitions (See PATRAN Plus User Guide 29-17).
