Travel Information
When planning your flights, be sure to consult the University Travel Portal, http://www.campustravel.com/university/princeton/, particularly “International Consolidators” under “Flights” on the main menu for low fares on major airlines.
Information on ground transportation to and from Accra’s Kotoka International Airport (ACC) and London’s Heathrow International Airport (LHR) will be provided by the seminar administrator, Rebecca Aguas.
Before leaving on your trip, you must register online via the University Travel Database at http://travel.princeton.edu/ . Details on this process will be provided by the seminar administrator, Rebecca Aguas. The site also provides other valuable information on international travel and on university resources that will make your trip easier.
Passports and Visas
A passport, valid for 6 months after your departure from Ghana, is required. To apply for or renew a passport, please consult: http://travel.state.gov/passport/passport_1738.html. You may also apply for a passport through the post office in Palmer Square.
A visa is required for entry into Ghana. Information will be available from the seminar administrator Rebecca Aguas. A visa is not required for entry into England.
Immunizations
McCosh Health Center will contact each student directly about required and suggested immunizations. A mandatory predeparture meeting with a health representative from McCosh will be held in April or May.
Housing and Meals
Housing and some meals will be provided by NYU in Ghana Academic Center in either Church Crescent or Solomon's Lodge, and by Queen Mary, University of London, in the Westfield Student Village, situated in the north-east corner of the Mile End Campus (ensuite rooms with shared kitchen facilities). Check with the seminar administrator for details.
