Writers and Activists in Support of Civil Rights.

The New Jersey Local of the National Writers Union is stepping forward and raising our voices of opposition to war and oppression. Our January 25-26, 2003 conference will create an opportunity for Middle Eastern, South Asian and Muslim-American writers in all genres - including non-fiction books and articles, fiction and poetry - to discuss their needs, hopes and concerns with each other and with a broad range of activists and other writers. We will bringing together many different activist communities to discuss concrete plans and actions to stand up against the government's oppressive policies.
