EMPLOYMENT HISTORY

THE LEARNING ARCADE

Founder and instructor of  The Learning Arcade, Inc. - an after-school/summer enrichment program that stresses creative, computer-enhanced, choice-based learning activities for children in a relaxed and collaborative environment that is very popular with children.  I provide instruction and support for students and teachers in the use of the computer as a tool for education and play.   Where space is appropriate, I teach basic juggling and Power Stick twirling.

PRINCETON UNIVERSITY LIBRARY

Bibliographic Specialist  and Other Library Duties - 1986 - Present   (exludes childrearing years from 1988-1991)   

Major responsibilities include performing bibliographic searches for duplicates and editions of recommendations for purchase sent by subject specialist librarians, creating purchase orders, receiving and cataloguing  monographic  library materials, creating claims and posting reports from publishers.     Additional work includes shelving and shelf-reading, demonstrating electronic library resources at Library and University Information Fairs, assisting with Freshman Library Orientation, service to the Library Education and Training Committee and to a Library Technical Services Computer Policy Advisory Task Force.
