Tuition grant increased for children

The University’s Benefits Committee has reviewed the Children’s Educational Assistance Plan and has increased the amount of the annual tuition grant for the 2009-10 academic year.

The Tuition Grant Program provides assistance for an eligible faculty or staff member’s child who is pursuing undergraduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college. For 2009-10, the University will provide a maximum annual tuition grant of one-half tuition and mandatory educational fees up to a cap of $12,860 ($6,430 per semester, or $4,286.66 per trimester or quarter). This is an increase from the previous year’s maximum grant of $12,500.
