Plotfile Format

      

FEMGV supports a number of `plotfile' formats which are described in this appendix.

The neutral format is used by FEMGV for the playback of files and can be used to interface to most hardcopy devices.

If appropriate, a user can write a program to read this file and convert the instructions to the format of a hardcopy plotter, or to any other graphics device.

The Postscript format is in a form suitable for outputing on any device with a Postscript interpreter, it is described in section E.2.

The Interleaf format is in a form suitable to be read in by Interleaf and displayed in a document, the format is described in section E.3.
