Axisymmetric Models

If the grid type is POLAR or BFC and the AXI3D flag is set `on' then the model is transferred to FEMVIEW as a 3D model even if there is only one division in the I direction. In addition, a FEMVIEW batch command file is written to allow a 2$\pi$ assembled model to be created in FEMVIEW. The batch command file created is called ASS.BAT and, when run, this command file creates an assembly model called WHOLE. The file ASS.BAT will be overwritten each time the program is run.

The model assembly is created using the angle between the I=1 and I=KX planes. If this is not a divisor of 2$\pi$ then the assembled model 'WHOLE' will contain an overlap. As such models are axisymmetric this does not effect the display of results. The current limit in FEMVIEW for the number of models in an assembly is 77; when this limit is reached no more copies of the model will be added to the assembly.

To create the assembled model for FEMVIEW the user should type `@ASS' at the INDEX level in FEMGV. Models HALF and WHOLE must not already exist.
