Cells can be blocked within PHOENICS using either porosities (VPOR) or
properties (PRPS);
within FEMVIEW, each element can be associated with a material number.
The
interface program assigns all unblocked elements (i.e. porosity
0 or PRPS
100)
a material number of 1. Fully blocked elements (porosity = 0) are
assigned a material number of 100. Cells with a PRPS number greater than
100 are given a material number equal to the value of PRPS.
A FEMVIEW set of elements is created for each material found. The set name
is MATnumb, where 'numb' is the material number.
This enables blocked cells to be ignored when viewing
the results in FEMVIEW, see section 4.3.
