Physical Property Definitions

Some element types need physical property definitions, others do not. The interface will issue a warning if an element requires a physical property and none has been assigned.

Physical property data is defined using the command 'PROPERTY PHYSICAL ...', and applied to parts or sets using the command 'PROPERTY ATTACH ...'. The following physical property types are available under the 'PROPERTY PHYSICAL' command:

Type THICKNES allows for one thickness value to be entered and type GENERAL is used for beam properties, where the first argument is the cross section area and the second argument is the torsional stiffness.

The elements in Table 2.2 do not require physical properties.
