New Chemistry building:  move scheduled for summer/fall of 2010

The double-door at the end of the hallway will be used to transport the magnets, consoles, etc until the NMR lab area (on the right)

Exterior views; the left photo taken from the northwest while standing on the new bridge. The right one was taken from the southeast from the driveway between the Architecture Lab and the Weaver track. From there one can also see the top of the enclosure of the new emergency generator (beyond the brick wall).

These are a couple of views showing the walls around the upper level and the supply air ducts above. These give some idea of how much taller and open the new space will be. The west wall will have three Bruker-500 MHz magnets and the Varian 300/54 in front and the Data Analysis, Mechanical, Group Room and Prep Lab beyond, and the south wall will have the Varian 400/54 in front and two offices beyond.

t

These show the new coiling door at the south areaway through which the magnets will be moved, and the pit, not wet, but with the floor sealer freshly applied and the aluminum return air ducts moved over to the perimeter of the pit.
