A main goal of the International Networks Archive is to develop a new system of mapping our world -- one that does not rely on geography, but on more meaningful parameters like access to world markets or communications infrastructure.

The INA developed two interactive online maps that don't use traditional geography as their organizing principle. The first map reconfigures 23 world cities based on travel time between the cities instead of distance. The second map uses data sets to dynamically generate non-geographic maps of the world.
