Elements With Beam Section Physical Properties

The elements in Table 3.3 should be assigned beam section properties defined using the GENERAL, PIPE, BOX, USEC, or TSEC property type (see FEMGEN/FEMVIEW Version 2 User Manual for details). For Example:

PROPERTY PHYSICAL BOX [propname] width height

Beam orientation definitions are appended to an existing beam section property via the command:

PROPERTY PHYSICAL BOX [propname] ORIENTAT x y z

or

PROPERTY PHYSICAL BOX [propname] ORIENTAT pointname

For beam GENERAL section data only, the following centroid offset and shear centre definition is also supported:

PROPERTY PHYSICAL GENERAL [propname] OFFSET x1c x2c 0 x1s x2s 0
