| Tivoli monitoring software is currently installed on all production
OIT UNIX and Windows NT servers. It is monitoring a set of system
performance and health indicators, with the thresholds set by the
system administrators who are directly responsible for those systems.
Several applications are also being monitored by Tivoli, including the
Maestro scheduler, the Ontime calendar server, and the Blackboard Web server.
Future plans are to extend Tivoli monitoring to Oracle databases, mail service, and to administrative applications.
