Subsections
No modification is necessary, for an existing interface program written for
FEMGV 4, to run with FEMGV 5. However, if the interface program is to support
the new features of FEMGV 5, the necessary changes are described below.
The following routines are new to FEMGV 5:
- ULOADM Get primary information for a moving load.
- ULOADT Get a moving load definition at a specific stopping position.
- USETL Get an ordered list of elements on loaded geometry.
- Entity type 5 in UNAMG2 now returns shape names.
- Beware of the new size of array KPNTS in USHPE2 (dimensioned to 5 instead of 3).
- Real array RADS of USHPE2 can potentially be very large if nurb curves or nurb surfaces
are present in the model.
- Arrays containing the list of element nodes (such as IELEM in UECENT) should have their dimension
increased from 27 to 32 if the new higher order elements are to be used (FEMGV 5.2 onwards).
- Arrays containing the list of pointers to the face nodes (such as IPNE in UFACE) should have
their dimension increased from 9 to 15 if the new higher order elements are to be used (FEMGV 5.2 onwards).
