Housing

All students will live in University of Dar es Salaam hostels for the first half of the program. In the second half, students who are interested in living in local homes may move to arranged home stays within and nearby campus. Those who prefer to opt out of the home stay will continue to live in the hostels.

In the hostels, students live in shared rooms at the University of Dar es Salaam’s Statistics College. Each room has two beds, a lockable door, a reading table, and two wardrobes. Students use common hostel bathrooms located on each single-sex floor. The hostels are secured by a concrete fence with security guards watching the gate 24 hours a day, have fire extinguishers, and are compliant with the Tanzanian fire code.
