The Control Panel shown opposite permits the
test parameters to be established, and displays
information about the condition of the apparatus.

The Upper display panel has control units for
actuator position, load, and strain. These permit the
selection of the waveform, upper and lower limits of
the safe operating range, and the calibration of the
detectors for position, load, and strain. The display
shows two engineering readouts of position, load or
strain in the selected units. SI units are to be used.

The Lower display panel provides for user interaction
using the display, associated soft function keys, and
the logical menus through which the system is set-up

and operated. Each functional area is highlighted so that associated facilities are grouped together. Specific displays appear depending on the function in use.
