The main contact on the Council for all Wilson-sponsored art activities is our Arts Chair Yang Cai. She maintains a link to all of Wilson's art activities, which include the Wilson Art Studio and the Wilson Ceramics studio. Yang is also involved with some programming, which includes an art show of works by Wilson students, to be held later this spring.
Art Studio
The Wilson College Art Studio is located in 301 Wilcox Hall. Managed by Adjani Peralta (also vice-chair of the Council), the studio is open nine hours a week. Although studio resources are currently directed towards drawing and painting, staff members are receptive to other ideas and requests. Classes are offered by Wilson students James Clark, Adjani Peralta, and Kelly Rouser during the times that the studio is open, although they are willing to help with individual projects.
The studio currently has among its painting supplies acrylic paint, watercolor paints, oil paint, watercolor pads, and canvas boards ranging from 6 in x 6 in to 12 in x 18 in. Among the drawing supplies are charcoal, graphite, and colored pencils, as well as various types of drawing paper. A calligraphy set is also available.

Ceramics Studio
The Wilson College Ceramics Studio is located in the basement of 1938 Hall, at the bottom of the first entryway. Managed by Andrew Sue-Ako and Heather Landry, the studio is open 13 hours a week. Professor Stuart Altmann is an adviser and teacher for the studio; in addition, classes are taught on the second and last Sundays of each month by Debbie Reichard. On Mondays throughout the spring semester (with the exception of March 17 and April 7), visiting potter Candy Shweder will be available to help students with their projects.
Three electric wheels and two kick wheels are available for wheelthrowing clay, as well as spaces for handbuilding and an assortment of glazes.
