Facilities

Facilities Chair Raphael Murillo serves as Wilson College's student liaison to Dining Services and the Facilities Department. If you have any questions or comments about any of the services provided by these departments, please contact Raphael, and he will contact the relevant personnel on your behalf. Raphael can also answer many of the questions you may have regarding Wilson College's public spaces, so don't hesitate to ask.

Wilson College Public Spaces

College Office. Located in 201 Wilcox Hall. This isn't so much of a public space, as a need-to-know location. On the second floor of Wilcox, in the hallway leading to Wu, the College Office has access to and information regarding quite a few of the resources you'll want to take advantage of during your time at Princeton. Dean Lisa Herschbach, Director of Studies Dr. Jack Axcelson, and Director of Student Life Dr. Michael Olin all have offices here, as do College Admistrator Laurie Hebditch and College Assistants Barbara MacFarland and Evelyn Spradley. If you aren't sure of where it is, check out this map.

Art Studio. Located in 301 Wilcox Hall. Visit the Arts page for more information.

Black Box. Located in the basement of Wilcox Hall. On Friday nights from 11:30 to 2:30, the Black Box serves as a dance club. For the schedule of Black Box events as well as a list of contacts, visit the Black Box page on the Wilson College website.

Ceramics Studio. Located in the basement of 1938 Hall. Visit the Arts page for more information.

Computer Clusters. Located in 1937 Hall (2 printers) and Wilcox Hall (1 printer). Open 24 hours. The Wilcox Hall cluster has an access code on the door frame. If you don't know it and can't find it, ask a passing student (or knock if there's someone inside). And otherwise, don't hesitate to contact Raphael (or your RCA).

Dance Studio. Located on the second floor of Wilcox Hall. If entering from our brand new entrance, go up the stairs and take a right (through the pink door). If entering from the rear (or from Wu), orient yourself with the ping pong tables to your back and facing the meeting table - the pink door is to your left, at the top of the main stairs. The Dance Studio is located in this hallway. You may reserve the Dance Studio through the Wilson College Office, or otherwise use it while it remains unreserved. Several university groups use the dance studio for practices.

Game Room. Located in 1927/Clapp on the ground floor (the lowest floor, and the same floor as the laundry room). It's a rather large room, and features an air hockey table as well as a TV.

Kitchen. Located in Dodge-Osborn Hall, on the ground floor, through the entryway closest to Frist. This facility is a full kitchen with a range and hood, refrigerator, counters and sink, cabinets, cooking utensils and cookware, and tables and chairs. The Wilson College Chef's Circle, led by RGS Aaron Hostetter, usually meets here. If you would like to use the kitchen, you will have to go to Wilson College Office to reserve a time and pick up the keys.

Music Practice Room. Located on the second floor of Wilcox Hall. It's in the same hallway as the Dance Studio (see above for some convoluted directions). It contains a piano and a percussion set. If you would like to use the room, a sign-up sheet is located near the door.

Wilcox Commons. Located on the second floor of Wilcox Hall. It's really hard to miss the Commons, especially with it's lovely carpeting. It has several tables those interested in a quiet space to work, as well as couches. There's also a long (conference room-long) table, a piano, and a TV. The Commons are where the weekly Wednesday night study breaks are held. You'll get plenty of emails about them.
