Prior to his freshman fall at Princeton, Jacob had no dance experience. He grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana where he attended Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School and was a member of the varsity swimming team for three years. However, his main love has always been rowing. He began rowing his freshman year and spent the rest of his high school career rowing for the Indianapolis Rowing Center. Jacob competed at the Royal Canadian Henley Regatta in St. Catherines, Ontario in 2003 and USRowing Nationals in 2004 and 2005. He raced annually in St. Louis, Cincinnati, Philadelphia, Dayton, Columbus, and Indianapolis. He was Varsity Captain his Junior and Senior years and won the Brebeuf Jesuit Chief’s Award for Men’s Rowing in 2003 and 2004.
After taking a year off after graduation, Jacob enrolled at Princeton and took a chance auditioning for BodyHype. This turned out to be one of the best decisions he has ever made. Jacob cannot imagine what Princeton would be like without his BodyHype family and would like to thank every member for pushing him to be a better student, dancer, performer, and friend. He had the pleasure of serving as the Vice President of the company in 2007 and looks forward to his last year with BodyHype! Jacob is majoring in Politics with a certificate in Urban Studies and can usually be found in the library or hanging out with a BodyHype member.
