Kelsey Berry 10

Kelsey Berry hails from Massachusetts, where she studied dance for ten years. Under the tutelage of Nailah Bellinger, Kathy Kozul, and Rennie Gold, she studied ballet, modern, pointe, jazz, and tap. As a member of Moves Dance Company, directed by Rennie Gold, Kelsey performed in bi-annual concerts, raising money for various local and international charities. Additionally, Kelsey has competed at national dance competitions including American Dance Awards and Dance Masters of America, winning such honors as Teen Miss Dance of New England in 2004 and highest adjudication awards. She was selected as a member of the United States National Dance Team, traveling with them to Riesa, Germany to earn 4th place standing in the World Showdance Competition.

Kelsey has worked with choreographers from Los Angeles, Boston, and New York City, including Take Ueyama, Kenny Wormald, Rhee Gold, Larry Sousa, Jason Winters, and Tyce Diorio. She is currently an active member of the Princeton dance department, having performed in the 2009 Spring Dance Festival as a soloist in works by Cherylyn Lavagnino and Zvi Gotheiner, the 2008 Festival in works by Ze’eva Cohen and Susan Marshall, and the 2007 Festival in works by Rebecca Lazier and Jim Williams and a trio of her own original choreography. She will graduate from Princeton this year with a major in Philosophy and certificates in the Program in Neuroscience and the Program in Dance.
