In Conversation with Zena Stenvik: Schools as Sanctuaries
Zena Stenvik, Superintendent of Columbia Heights Public Schools in Minnesota, has become a prominent voice on the impact of aggressive federal immigration enforcement on children and communities. After ICE detained students and parents in her district, Stenvik spoke out publicly and drew national attention to the real consequences of these policies. She will discuss what school leaders are doing to protect students, how districts are navigating an unprecedented legal and ethical landscape.
