Community and Staff Day
Princeton's football home opener, held Saturday, Sept. 16, against San Diego, will double as Community and Staff Day. Local fans can receive up to six free tickets to the game by registering online.
The festivities will begin at 10:30 a.m., when the Princeton Stadium gates will open. A youth sports clinic, hosted by University student-athletes for children ages 5 to 12, will be held on Weaver Track from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. Also from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. on Weaver Track, attendees are invited to participate in a community service project. The Mercer Street Friends Food Bank will be on hand with everything needed to pack meals for the Send Hunger Packing Program.
The Family Fun-Fest, featuring several local nonprofits and University departments, will have interactive booths set up throughout the stadium concourse starting at 10:30 a.m. and continuing through halftime of the football game. The activities include inflatables, face painting, music and much more.
The football game kicks off at 12:00 noon, after a special delivery of the game ball by a team of skydivers.
