Silence will not protect you: Womanism in the age of Trump

A facilitated conversation by Ruha Benjamin between the organizers of the Women's March in Washington: Tamika Mallory, Linda Sarsour, and Carmen Perez. All four women are advocates for social justice from diverse backgrounds, each with a unique perspective. The Women¿s March, which drew over 5 million people marching in opposition to gender inequity and inequality. This conversation will enlighten the campus community by demonstrating the different values and approaches each woman has about social advocacy and action, at the women¿s march and in a civic engagement more generally.
