“Coalitions and Cleavages in Asian American Politics”: In this talk, Janelle Wong assesses recent anti-black, anti-immigrant mobilization in Asian American communities against the backdrop of larger trends in Asian American party and candidate loyalties.  She highlights the convergences and contradictions that have emerged as a critical feature of Asian American politics, especially as they relate to coalition-building and racial justice.
