Come meet playwright Stephen Kaplan!
Stephen Kaplan is an award-winning playwright based just outside of New York City. His plays have won a number of awards and competitions including the New Jersey Playwrights Contest, Best Play Minifest, Father Hamblin Award for Outstanding Playwriting, Kitchen Sink Festival @ Expanded Arts, Blank's YPC, New American Comedy Showcase, Delaware City Theatre's 10-minute play competition,and the Vanguard Theatre's 10-minute play contest. A member of the BMI Musical Theatre Writing Workshop, he has also been the bookwriter/lyricist for a musical version of Kurt Vonnegut, Jr.'s The Long Walk to Forever (composer Steve Yorra) and The Big City (composer Corey Samuels). He has also been named a Playwright-in-Residence with True False Theatre Company's Polygraph Tests and at Passaic County Community College. He is a proud member of the New Jersey Regional Representative for the Dramatist's Guild.
