Fretwork Consort of Viols: Symposium
The viol consort Fretwork will be in residence at Princeton University Friday, April 13th and Saturday, April 14th. These events are presented by the Princeton University Glee Club, the Princeton University Music Department and Princeton Renaissance and Early Modern Studies. Please note that the symposium events take place in two separate locations.
Friday, April 13th A free symposium Music and the Language Arts in Early Modern Song on 16th century rhetoric, poetics and music.
1:00PM Workshop with Bill Hunt and Fretwork Taplin Auditorium in Fine Hall
3:00PM Keynote address by Giuseppe Gerbino, Columbia University Unknown Pleasures - Language Imitating Music Imitating Language McCosh Hall 46
4:30PM Roundtable discussion with Giuseppe Gerbino, Wendy Heller, Bill Hunt, and Jamie Reuland Reception to follow McCosh Hall 46
