Humanity Needs Dreamers-A Conversation with Marie Curie
'I am among those who think that Science has great beauty', Marie Skłodowska Curie.
This program honors a preeminent woman of science: Marie Curie. She was the first European woman to earn a doctorate in the sciences; the first woman to receive a Nobel Prize (for the discovery of radioactivity), the first woman to teach at the Sorbonne, and the first person to receive a second Nobel Prize (a feat not to be repeated for another 50 years).
Join us on Sunday, February 4 at 1:30PM to hear, told by one of the greatest scientists of all times from her own lips, her story and achievements discovered simply through her own passion and perseverance. This program will be followed by a Q&A with Marie Curie and with the author/presenter as well.
