Nancy Weiss Malkiel is professor emeritus of history atPrinceton University, where she was the longest-serving deanof the college, overseeing the university¿s undergraduateacademic program for twenty-four years. She is the author mostrecently of ¿Keep the Damned Women Out¿: The Struggle forCoeducation (Princeton University Press, 2016). Her previousbooks include Whitney M. Young, Jr., and the Struggle for CivilRights and Farewell to the Party of Lincoln: Black Politics inthe Age of FDR. In 1981 Professor Malkiel founded and served as interim director of the Program in Women¿s Studies.
