Live from the Library: Cantatas and 19th-Century Sheet Music
The Mendel Music Library presents a live performance of music from their locked collection. Repertoire includes cantatas by G.B. Bononcini from a 1721 engraving, part of the Music Treasures at Princeton collection; piano and vocal selections from their 19th-Century Sheet Music Collection; and art songs by Alexander Russell, the first Frick Professor of Music for Princeton University.
Sara Hagenbuch, soprano and Coordinator of Public Services and Outreach, is joined by Eva Kastner-Puschl, mezzo soprano; Campbell Shiflett, piano; Jane Hines, harpsichord; Isaac Harrison Louth, viola da gamba; Janice Cheon, violin; and Elijah Ash, violin.
