The Rescue, with special guest Josh Morris '99
Princeton in Asia (PiA) is excited to present an evening focused on the 2018 Thailand cave rescue through a screening of the National Geographic documentary The Rescue, with special guest Joshua Morris ‘99!
On June 23, 2018, a soccer coach and 12 players went exploring in Tham Luang Nang Non cave in Chiang Rai Province in northern Thailand after team practice. Due to rising floodwaters, they would not emerge from the cave until 18 days later after a harrowing rescue that captured global attention. Joshua Morris ‘99, founder of Chiang Mai Rock Climbing Adventures, helped facilitate the team’s safe return.
The film will begin at 5 p.m. in the James Stewart Film Theater in 185 Nassau and will be immediately followed by a conversation between Josh and with Outdoor Action director, Rick Curtis, who will also lead an audience Q & A.
