Event details
SWE at the PUL Makerspace
At this 2-hour event, members of The Princeton Society of Women Engineers (SWE) will have a chance to explore tools and equipment at the PUL Makerspace with Makerspace Specialist, Ariel Ackerly, and meet Princeton's Engineering Librarian, Willow Dressel. Participants will split into groups and have the option to learn 3D printing, explore engineering concepts in virtual reality, and practice using other tools such as a rotary drill, 3D doodler, and sewing machine.
This event is open to SWE members who are current students, faculty, or staff of Princeton University. SWE is dedicated to promoting a sense of community among female B.S.E. students, professors, and alumnae of Princeton, and introducing younger girls to the various opportunities offered by studying engineering.
This event is capped at 15 participants, and registration is required. Participants will meet in the PUL Makerspace, on the A floor of the Lewis Science Library.
University programs and activities are open to all eligible participants without regard to identity or other protected characteristics. Sponsorship of an event does not constitute institutional endorsement of external speakers or views presented.
