Inaugurated in 2008, Diwali at the Chapel has since become the university’s largest and grandest celebration of Diwali on campus. Each year, more than 500 people–students, faculty, staff, and members of the broader community–gather in the historic Princeton University Chapel for this unique take on Hinduism’s Festival of Lights. The event features offerings of devotional music and dance, traditional worship (aarti), and spiritual reflections.
University programs and activities are open to all eligible participants without regard to identity or other protected characteristics. Sponsorship of an event does not constitute institutional endorsement of external speakers or views presented.
